Kim Plumridge Acting Lessons Westchester Acting Lessons

Acting is about communication.

It involves being true to yourself and sensitive to the feelings and needs of others.

It requires the use of your head and your heart.

Kim Plumridge uses the tenets of legendary acting teachers Stanislavski, Uta Hagen and Sanford Meisner as well as a number of tools she has learned in her 25 years as a professional actor to help you find a way to express yourself more freely and feel more comfortable in your own skin.

Kim coaches professional actors for auditions, aspiring actors on character development and script analysis, business people who want to feel more relaxed, focused and confident when making presentations, opera singers who want to do more than “park and bark” and folks who just want to have fun, loosen up and get more in touch with themselves.

The tools of acting technique can help just about anyone to be more present and to “stay in the moment” no matter what life throws at them.  Kim teaches valuable relaxation and concentration exercises as well as improvisation exercises that expand the imagination and sharpen problem-solving skills.  Her ultimate goal is to help you to find more creativity and joy in your work and in your life.
