Kim Plumridge

A professional actress for over 25 years, Kim Plumridge is a veteran of numerous national commercials and voice-overs. She has performed Off-Broadway, in regional theatre and in film and television. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, Actors Equity Association and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.  

Kim has taught acting in Westchester and NYC to private students and small groups since 2000. She specializes in providing a warm and supportive environment for both beginners and professional working actors. Her students have appeared in commercials, operas, Off-Off Broadway, regional and community theatre productions and on television in “Law and Order” and “The Sopranos.” Kim also teaches non-actors how to use the tools of acting to relax, improve concentration and better express themselves. She most recently taught Acting and Public Speaking at the Bronxville Adult School. 

Kim is also a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner CM and teaches
Feldenkrais Functional Integration® and Awareness Through Movement® lessons in NYC and Westchester. In addition to her private clients, Kim has taught group Awareness Through Movement lessons and/or workshops at the Equinox Fitness Club in Scarsdale, Yoga Haven in Tuckahoe, Westchester Community College, the Bronxville Adult School and the Feldenkrais Learning Center in NYC.

Teaching both the Feldenkrais Method® and the tools of acting, Kim Plumridge has helped actors, dancers, opera singers, business executives,  homemakers and many others to find greater freedom of expression in their work and in their lives.
